Barbara Siegert is tourism manager for Queen Anne's County and enjoys a good round of golf. She received the Cooperative Promotion Award from the Maryland Governor's Tourism Industry Conference for a brochure titled "Fish Maryland." Siegert loves the area she calls home and, as tourism manager, shares its history with people, including the story of Kent Island—situated at the foot of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge—and how it was the site of the first English settlement in Maryland.
