Donna has served as Charles County's Chief of Tourism since January 2008.  For the previous five years, she served as Executive Director of the Four Rivers Heritage Area based in Annapolis, where she developed several award-winning heritage tourism products, administered over $1 million in grants, and Co-Chaired the Maryland Coalition of Heritage Areas. Originally from Connecticut, Donna received bachelor's and master's degrees in U.S. History at the college level, and worked as a curator at Dumbarton House in Georgetown and at the U.S. Navy's flagship museum on the Washington Navy Yard.  Donna lives with her husband, a naval and maritime historian, in southern Anne Arundel County and enjoys sailing on the Chesapeake Bay out of the West River with her spoiled rotten Samoyed dogs.
