Brian Duncan - Frederick - Tyler-Donegan Real Estate

Brian Duncan is a partner at Tyler-Donegan Real Estate, a full-service real estate company. Brian's primary role is commercial real estate and development. He is married to Jane, a special-education teacher, and they have two wonderful daughters, Hannah and Abigail.

Dr. Thomas Powell - Frederick - Mount St. Mary’s

Dr. Thomas Powell has served as president of Mount St. Mary's University since 2003. Mount St. Mary's is the second-oldest Catholic university in the United States. He has worked in higher education for over 25 years.

Peggy Erickson - Montgomery -  Montgomery County Heritage

Peggy Erickson is a longtime resident of Montgomery County and the executive director of the Heritage Tourism Alliance of Montgomery County. A former chief-of-staff for Councilwoman Nancy H. Dacek and a civic activist, Erickson was also a founding member of CitPac and a winner of the Montgomery County Civic Federation’s Washington Star Cup for environmental work.

Debra Moser - Montgomery - Metropolitan Center for Arts

Debra Moser has taught at Johns Hopkins University and had the honor of co-chairing the 2001 Ambassadors Ball in Washington, DC. Today, Moser is executive director of the Metropolitan Center for the Visual Arts in Montgomery County and has combined education, business, and the arts while working on an important county project: building a new art center, an endeavor that she feels is the apex of her career.  

Julie Deford  - Baltimore - Boordy Vineyards

Julie DeFord, a graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art, is today owner of Boordy Vineyards. DeFord, her husband, and two children find it fulfilling to be part of Maryland’s rural economy, producing a luscious accompaniment to local vegetables, meats, and seafood. DeFord strongly believes that sharing food and wine—and maybe a little music—with friends inspires and stimulates the body, mind, and soul.

Rachelina Bonacci - Howard - Tourism

Rachelina Bonacci is executive director of Howard County Tourism. Passionate about travel, the arts, and competitive sports, she looks at her career as a way to see new places, meet terrific people, and appreciate daily Howard County’s nationally recognized quality of life. Bonacci received the Management Valor Award from Southwest Airlines in 1998 and 1999; was part of the National Sales Team of the Year for Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in 2001 and 2002; was nominated New Tourism Person of the Year in 2003; and was nominated Tourism Leader of the Year by the National Academy Foundation in 2007.

Joanne Roland - Charles - Tourism

Joanne Roland served as tourism director of Charles County for 17.5 years. She is a former teacher and chief of recreation. She enjoys travel and the mountains.

Noah Kegley - Anne Arundel - Zooptix  

Noah Kegley works for Zooptix. Previously he was the catering and sales manager for Phillips Annapolis Harbor restaurant. He graduated from Salisbury University and has lived in Maryland for about 10 years. His greatest joy comes from spending time with his wife and two children.

Sharon Scheuer - Wicomico - Lower Eastern Shore Heritage Council

Sharon Scheuer represented the Lower Eastern Shore Heritage Council, a grassroots, nonprofit organization whose purpose is to preserve, protect, and promote the cultural, natural, and historical heritage of Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester counties.
