  • A Peachy Life

Took this book down the ocean and read it in one day--felt like Peachy was sitting beside me on the beach whispering her stories in my ear. Her book captures snapshots of a childhood that many of us who grew up in a Baltimore City neighborhood identify with. The sights, smells, sounds and textures of ethnic families living humble, hard-working lives. Peachy's book is a walk down memory lane for every generation. She keeps honesty alive and joy in life's simple pleasures.

Sounds like an awesome story to be sure! Mimi was certainly a character. And having marched in the Dundalk parade LOTS of times, this surely brings back many great memories! Best Wishes for a fabulous book signing! CONGRATS!

  • Great Article

I knew Leonora (Peachy) as we went to Patterson Park High School together in the '50's. However, I left Patterson and returned to the West Side of town but I never forgot the time I spent at Patterson and my friend, Leonora. I looked for her on Facebook from time-to-time but did not know her married name. It wasn't until her book was published and an article was published in the Baltimore Sun that I found my long lost high school friend. She was always such a great person, with a wonderful smile, and very sincere. I wish her all the luck in the world with her book and hope to get together with her in the very near future. Good Luck and God Bless you "Peachy" ! Joyce Stasiuk

  • BRAVO!

This is so beautifully done: the nostalgia and the wonderful quotes from a woman who deserves our applause. Peachy Keen indeed!
