Authentic Mexican food from Tortilleria Sinaloa

When I think of Maryland Traditions, Mexican tortillas don’t necessarily come to mind. But the Annual Maryland Traditions Gathering and Showcase is about celebrating traditional arts and Tortilleria Sinaloa in Baltimore specializes in the tradition of making fresh, authentic Mexican tortillas.

And when there’s free food to be had, how I can resist?

I attended the ninth annual showcase last month at the Creative Alliance at the Patterson and I have to say the food was my favorite part (check out the slideshow for some of the yummy eats). Of course, that wasn’t all. I also enjoyed the musical talents of custom banjo designer Kevin Enoch, the craftsmanship of master boat builder Ronald “Mack” McGlaughlin, the beautiful photography of Edwin Remsberg (a frequent Maryland Life contributor), and an informative panel of small business owners.
