Attending the annual gala at the Chesapeake Beach Resort & Spa? Make a long weekend out of your trip with these tips!
What to Do: The Twin Beaches offer a fun time near the bay. The Chesapeake Beach Water Park is an exciting place for kids, with water slides, pools, and even swimming lessons. Kick back on the Moonlight Cruise aboard the Miss Chesapeake Beach during summertime full moons. Visit the Railway Museum to learn about the old resort town. North Beach boasts a wildlife refuge, a fishing pier, and a half-mile boardwalk/bike path. Shop for antiques and peruse a fine-arts gallery. Shop at the farmer’s market every Friday and tour the Bayside History Museum each Sunday.
Where to Stay: Chesapeake Beach has its own hotel and spa; there are other options a few miles away. In North Beach, try Heron’s Rest Guest Cottage.
