  • Temple Roofing

I was General Superintendent of the Maryland division of the Virginia Roofing Corp. at the time of the temple construction and was privileged to manage the roofing installation processes. The main roofing crew consisted of all black men from Baltimore, MD, headed by Mr. Boise Van Diver. They were professionals and took great pride in accomplishing their work and expressed appreciation for the privilege of working on such a beautiful edifice. The roofing is of multiple layer built-up asphalt with white marble chip stone covering. The Temple spire elevations are of 20 oz. copper sheet metal.

It looks so beautiful in the picture! I didn't know so many activities were available during the season. I wish I lived closer. Thanks for the information!
