On July 1, we’re launching our revamped website, complete with changes designed to fit your needs and wants. The one-stop shop for all things Free State can be found at www.MarylandLife.com.
The first major change you’ll notice is our site’s cleaner, easier-to-navigate layout and wider selection of archived stories (organized by region). We’ve also tweaked our search engine and added “tags” to the end of each article so you can pull up other stories related to the same topic. You’ll now also be able to add your own two cents by leaving comments at the end of articles (which you can then share online with friends).
Another big addition to the site is our all-new Maryland Life blogs (so glad you stopped by to check it out!). They’ll cover any and all topics, including what’s going on behind the scenes at the magazine and what we’ve got planned for upcoming issues. Written by our editorial staff, Maryland Board members, regular contributors to the magazine, and special guests, we hope the blogs will be a fun, informative new way for you to experience Maryland Life. As always, your input is welcome, so we hope you’ll join in the conversation!
Another must-visit stop at MarylandLife.com is our expanded events calendar. With its cool new format—complete with Google Maps’ geolocation tool to help you plot your route to an event and figure out what else to see and do in an area—you’ll never again have to kick yourself for missing an awesome activity because you didn’t know about it or couldn’t find it.
Our online business directory has been upgraded, too. Now, along with standard business listings, you’ll also find “featured listings” from regular advertisers which will offer special peeks at their inner workings (along with Google Maps pinpointing their location). If you’re an entrepreneur interested in having your company featured, please contact us at 301-696-1060 or directory@MarylandLife.com.
We hope you enjoy the new MarylandLife.com and spend time exploring it. Just be sure to come back often: There’s so much cool stuff to see, do, and explore in Maryland that we’ll be updating things on a weekly basis!
