Want to be in the next Scrapbook? Submit a photo of the best gift you’ve ever received.

Maybe it’s something special from your sweetheart. Maybe it’s a one-of-a-kind heirloom or the latest, greatest gadget. Maybe it was creatively handmade by a friend.

Send us a picture of you and your present. Feel free to share a brief story of the gift, too.

Email your photos to Marie Boshoff at Marie@MarylandLife.com (with the subject line “Scrapbook”) by October 19, 2012, and we just might print your photo in our December issue.

We’re not looking for professional portfolios, by the way—just fun, candid images from you, our readers. Be sure to include the names of the people pictured and where the photos were taken. Limit 3-5 submissions per person.

By submitting a photo, you grant Great State Publishing LLC first rights—both print and online—to that photo, along with permission to use it in the future (with proper attribution) in other media.

Weight Loss

February 2012 I underwent weightloss surgery at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. It was like being born all over again. Since that time, I have lost 172 pounds and still am going strong, literally. I tip my hat to all the Docs, and staff at JHBMC sor giving me a new start. I am a totally new, and improved person. I was suffering with lung issues as well as mobility issues. THEY ARE GONE! I am happy, healthy, and I owe it all to the staff. This is the best present I have every given myself!
