That’s what happens when area painters work in partnership with the largest conservation organization existing solely to restore the Chesapeake Bay. The result is a visual valentine from the Washington Society of Landscape painters to Chesapeake Bay enthusiasts. While the artists have been painting, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) and its corps of volunteers have been working diligently at restoration sites to help improve water quality and reduce run off into rivers and streams running into the Bay. This collection of over 40 paintings depicts the beauty of the Bay and its tributaries, showcasing some of the special projects CBF has focused on during recent years
The University of Maryland University College is proud to present the exhibition Chesapeake and Beyond: Paintings by the Washington Society of Landscape Painters (WSLP) in collaboration with CBF and WSLP.
